What is Aident WebConnect?

Aident WebConnect seamlessly integrates Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with any e-commerce platform.

Data integration

Aident WebConnect serves as a bridge between Business Central and e-commerce platforms, referred to as "Webshop Tenants." It facilitates the export of essential data, including customers, items, prices, stock levels, and order statuses. Exports can occur in real-time or at scheduled intervals, based on predefined rules.

The process for importing new customers, sales orders, or sales return orders consists of two steps. Initially, data is saved in interim documents, where it undergoes automated checks to ensure that only consistent and valid data enters Business Central. These checks can be customized to meet specific needs. Access to critical application settings is controlled by user-specific permission sets.

Technical interface

The application utilizes a REST API for data integration, available as an OpenAPI definition or through SwaggerUI. This interface must be implemented by the e-commerce platform, eliminating the necessity for third-party software. All communications with Webshop Tenants are logged in real-time for tracking and auditing purposes.

Data management

Within Business Central, users have the ability to manage which items, prices, customers, and inventory are accessible to the webshop. Location groups can be created, allowing stock or availability to be assigned to a Webshop Tenant based on these groups.
