What is Aident MDD?
Aident MDD lets you maintain and share master data across multiple Business Central tenants and their companies.
Master data management
Users can define and manage data in a designated master data company, which can then be shared with selected companies. Alternatively, decentralized management can be enabled, bypassing the need for a master data company and allowing sharing between all companies. Data sharing can be configured at both the table and field levels, enabling the distribution of entire tables or just specific fields.
Manage replacements
Users can set up rules to automatically replace values across companies. For example, if value A is used in one company, it can be replaced with value B in another. This feature is particularly useful for fields like currency or posting groups, aiding in multi-country operations.
Share app settings
To streamline the configuration process, Aident MDD provides import and export functionality for its settings. This allows you to easily share configuration files between different environments, speeding up the setup of new companies by reusing predefined data sharing rules.
Safety and data consistency
To ensure data integrity, Aident MDD includes a predefined list of fields that can't be shared, preventing issues like breaking posting logic. Additionally, the "error verification" feature verifies that shared data across companies is fully synchronized and provides options to redistribute data if discrepancies are detected.
