Set up a new connection
In this article you will learn how to set up a new connection to an Aident LocalLink agent using the Aident LocalLink Connector app in Business Central.
Prerequisites
- An active Aident LocalLink agent must exist.
- The permission set
Aident LocalLink Connector - Adminmust be assigned to your user.
General setup
Follow these steps to configure the Aident LocalLink Connector app:
Run the wizard
The app provides a wizard that guides you through the setup process.
- Navigate to the Setup Wizard:
- Search for Assisted Setup to open the Assisted setup list.
- In the category Connect with other systems click on Aident LocalLink setup.
- Provide LocalLink agent connection data:
- Enter a unique Account Name for the LocalLink agent.
- Enter the URL
http://localhostwith your port to the Aident LocalLink agent. - Select the Service Type for that agent.
- Select the Authorization Type.
- Enter the Username specified in the Aident LocalLink agent.
- Enter the Password specified in the Aident LocalLink agent.
- Provide LocalLink Print data:
- Select the default printer you want to use with Aident LocalLink.
- Provide LocalLink Storage data:
- Select Use UNC path if you want to use Windows network paths.
- Select the Root Drive to use on your storage server. Defaults to C:/. This can be left empty when using UNC paths.
