Salesperson permissions reference for Aident CashPro

CashPro uses salesperson permissions to control whether a cashier or salesperson can perform restricted actions directly or must request supervisor approval.

What permissions affect

Salesperson permissions are especially relevant for actions such as:

  • discounts
  • receipt discounts
  • manual price changes
  • end-of-day actions, depending on setup

Permission behavior in practice

When a restricted action starts, CashPro can:

  • allow the current user to continue directly, or
  • require supervisor approval

This depends on both:

  • the salesperson permission setup
  • cash register setup options such as supervisor requirements

For discount scenarios, CashPro checks whether the current salesperson is allowed to discount.

If not, supervisor approval is requested.

Even when the user has discount permission, supervisor approval can still be required in some scenarios, such as receipt discount processing when the cash register setup requires it.

Manual price behavior

Manual price changes are also governed by setup and permission checks.

The cash register must allow manual prices, and CashPro can still require supervisor approval if the user lacks the needed permission.

Supervisor password

Supervisor-controlled actions depend on the configured Supervisor Password on the cash register setup.

Practical guidance

Review permissions whenever users report that they:

  • cannot apply discounts
  • are unexpectedly prompted for approval
  • cannot perform price changes
  • cannot complete protected actions during daily operation
