Hold and retrieve transactions in Aident CashPro\

This article explains how to temporarily park a sale and retrieve it later.\

In CashPro, a held receipt is stored with the status Parked.

Hold a transaction

Use this process when a sale has started but should be completed later.

Requirements

A transaction can only be held if:

  • an open Sale receipt exists
  • the receipt already contains at least one relevant sales line

In the current implementation, the receipt must contain at least one line of type:

  • Item
  • Resource
  • Voucher

If no such line exists, CashPro blocks the hold process.

Steps

  1. Open the sale receipt.
  2. Choose the action to hold or park the receipt.
  3. Confirm the prompt.

CashPro then parks the receipt and shows a confirmation message.

Retrieve a parked transaction

Use this process to reopen a parked sale.

Important limitation

A parked transaction can only be retrieved when there is no open sale transaction on the register.

If another sale is still open, CashPro blocks retrieval.

Steps

  1. Make sure no open sale transaction exists.
  2. Choose the action to retrieve a transaction.
  3. Select the parked receipt in the retrieve page.
  4. Reopen the transaction and continue the sale.

End-of-day interaction

Parked receipts also affect the end-of-day process.

During End of Day, if parked receipts exist, CashPro prompts the user to decide whether all parked transactions should be canceled.

  • If the user agrees, CashPro cancels them.
  • If the user declines, CashPro stops the end-of-day flow and instructs the user to retrieve and conclude the parked receipts first.

Troubleshooting

Holding is not possible

Check whether the current receipt contains at least one item, resource, or voucher line.

Retrieval is not possible

Check whether another sale receipt is still open on the same register.
